In this episode, get ready for Part 1 of a two part episode with Dr. Corey Hartman. I used to babysit the now board certified dermatologist while he was a young boy living down the street from me in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Hartman, who is African American, has his own practice (Skin Wellness Dermatology - https://skinwellness.com/) in Birmingham, Alabama and discusses his medical school journey as the only black person in his program at University of Alabama. We also do a deep dive into running a business in the Deep South and treating patients, especially black people and people of color. Additionally, I’ll review the Amazon Prime series "Upload" starring former Prince protege Andy Allo and there's the Interview Throwback with South African singer/musician Jonathan Butler.
